The vigesimal system is characteristic for Georgian numerals, where the word for "20" is used as a basis. Numerals from 11 to 19 are composed in the following way: "10- -met'i", where meti met'i means "more", as in  t-otx-met'i (< at-otx-met'i = ten-four-more). "Fourteen", thus, could be considered as "more than 10 by 4". Numerals from 1 to 19:

 1 erTi erti
 2 ori ori
 3 sami sami
 4 oTxi otxi
 5 xuTi xuti
 6 eqvsi ekvsi
 7 Svidi shvidi
 8  rva rva
 9  cxra cxra
 10 aTi ati

11 TerTmeti (<aT-erT-meti) tertmet'i (<at-ert-met'i)
12 Tormeti (<aT-or-meti) tormet'i (<at-or-met'i)
13 cameti (< aT-sam-meti) camet'i (<at-sam-met'i)
14 ToTxmeti (<aT-oTx-meti) totxmet'i (< at-otx-met'i)
15 TxuTmeti (<aT-xuT-meti) txutmet'i (< at-xut-met'i)
16 Teqvsmeti (<aT-eqvs-meti) tekvsmet'i (< at-ekvs-met'i)
17 Cvidmeti (<aT-Svid-meti) chvidmet'i(< at-shvid-met'i)
18 Tvrameti (aT-rva-meti) tvramet'i (< at-rva-met'i)
19 cxrameti (aT-cxra-meti) cxramet'i (< at-cxra-met'i)

Numerals "20-99" are composed using "20" as a basis and combined with units and tens. e.g., "55" is composed as (2 x 20  + (10+5).

Hundreds are composed using "100" as a basis combined with units. The word for 1000 is derived in Georgian. It is denoted as "ten-hundreds":

Numerals in attributive function

When a numeral is used as an attribute, the noun is used in singular: ori Zma ori dzma "two brothers";  xuTi cxeni xuti cxeni "five horses". Numerals as attributes are declined like adjectives as attributes:
When a numeral is presented within an ordinary (prepositional) sequence of numeral (attribute) + noun (head), the noun is declined, and the numeral (attribute) with the consonantal stem is declined partly. In particular:

When a consonantal numeral and a noun are inflected together, both adjective and noun take case markers in nominative, ergative and vocative cases:

or-i saxl-i
or-ma saxl-ma
or-o saxl-o

In other cases:

or-i saxl-is or-i saxl-is two house-genitive
or-i saxl-idan or-i saxl-idan two house-from).
 or saxl-s or saxl-s two house-Dative
or saxl-Si or saxl-shi two house-in
or saxl-amde or saxl-amde two house-to

Nominative or-i megobar-i or-i megobar-i (two friends)
Ergative or-ma megobar-ma or-ma megobar-ma
Dative or-ø megobar-s or-ø megobar-s
Genitive or-i megobr-is or-i megobr-is
Instrumental or-i megobr-iT or-i megobr-it
Adverbial or-ø  megobr-ad or-ø megobr-a
The numerals (attributes) with the vocalic stem in the analogous position are not declined and do not change their form at all:
rva saxl-is rva saxl-is eight house-genitive
rva saxl-idan rva saxl-idan eight house-from).
rva saxl-s rva saxl-s eight house-Dative
rva saxl-Si rva saxl-shi eight house-in

Ordinal numerals
Ordinal numerals are formed from the cardinal numerals by means of the prefix me- me- and the suffix -e -e.
The suffix -e -e is always added to the end of the stem. The prefix me- me- may be added either:

A) to the beginning of the whole stem,
B) or to the last component of the stem.

A) The affix me- me- is added to the beginning of the stem, if the ordinal numeral is formed:

ori meore
or-i me-or-e
two second

sami mesame
sam-i me-sam-e
three third

TxuTmeti meTxuTmete
txutmet'i me-txutmet'-e

oc-i me-oc-e
oc-i me-oc-e
twenty twentieth

ormoci meormoce
or-m-oc-i me-ormoc-e
forty fortieth
orasi meorase
or-as-i me-oras-e
two hundred two hundredth
B) The affix -me -me is added to the last component of the numerals in all other cases; e. g.:

ocdaerTi
ocdameerTe
oc-da-ert-i
ocda-me-ert-e
