'h' is a sound of weak articulation and it is produced in the opening created in the pharynx between the base of the tongue and the pharynx wall. Occlusion is produced by the base of the tongue. Large resonance area in the mouth cavity and big amount of air-stream are required to produce the consonant.

The letter written or typed in this way is called hae.

It is traced out with one movement of the hand and is written between the three upper lines: movement of the hand begins above the lower middle line, goes downwards drawing an open circle from left to right between the upper and lower middle lines, continues upwartds drawing two equal semicircles and ends at the upper line with a tip slightly rounded to the right.
